Overview
Built a full-featured electronic medical records platform for a multi-location clinic network. The system handles patient registration, appointment scheduling, clinical notes, prescription management, lab result tracking, and medical billing — all within a single HIPAA-compliant application.
The backend was built with Node.js and NestJS, with a React frontend and MySQL database. Patient data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Role-based access control separates permissions for doctors, nurses, receptionists, and administrators. The billing module integrates with insurance workflows and generates itemized invoices per visit.
The platform reduced administrative overhead by eliminating paper-based records and cut appointment scheduling time significantly by consolidating previously fragmented tools into one system.
